Reveal the Mystery of the Incarnation
We’ve believed in the Lord for many years. Although we acknowledge that the Lord Jesus is the incarnate Christ, we don’t know what is the incarnation. We only know that this is a great mystery which can’t be made clear by anyone.
If we don’t understand the truth of the incarnation, when the Lord comes, we easily treat the incarnate Christ as an ordinary person, and even resist God. So, what exactly is the incarnation?
God says, “The incarnate God is called Christ, and Christ is the flesh donned by the Spirit of God. This flesh is unlike any man that is of the flesh. This difference is because Christ is not of flesh and blood but is the incarnation of the Spirit. He has both a normal humanity and a complete divinity. His divinity is not possessed by any man. His normal humanity sustains all His normal activities in the flesh, while His divinity carries out the work of God Himself.”
From God’s words, we can see that the incarnation refers to a flesh which is donned by God’s Spirit, becoming an ordinary Son of man, coming upon the earth to speak and work, and appearing to man.
The incarnate God is just an ordinary person who looks the same as us from the outside. However, His divinity is hidden within. He can express God’s disposition and what God has and what God is; He also can express the truth of supplying and saving man anytime and anywhere according to mankind’s needs; He can do God’s own work. All these are things that can’t be possessed by created beings.
It’s just like that the Lord Jesus is the incarnate God, although He has normal humanity, He has even divinity. So, He can express the truth and God’s voice and do God’s work as the identity of God. If we just see Christ’s normal humanity, we easily treated Christ as an ordinary man.
